Examination Fees
Application Fee $225 (non-refundable)
Candidates pay the application fee once per calendar year, regardless of the number of examinations. For example, if a candidate registers for both Spring and Fall examinations (within the same calendar year), the fee is paid once in the Spring.
Starting in September 2020, In-training examination candidates will be able to use their passing score for qualification purposes upon payment of the Board Qualification fee.

Late Withdrawals From Examinations*
Total of One Examination (Part I or Part II) $150
Total of Two or More Examinations (Part I or Part II) $250
Late withdrawal begins one week before the first day of examinations. Requests to withdraw must be received by ABFAS no less than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the scheduled examination start time (local Testing Center time). After that time, no examination fee refunds will be authorized. Candidates who do not appear for an examination and have not withdrawn by the deadline will forfeit all fees paid.

Refunds
Refunds are only for examination fees. The Application fee is non-refundable.
Annual Fees
You can pay your annual fee online starting July 1. ABFAS will send a paper copy of your invoice to the mailing address in your profile if you have not paid your fee online by July 15. Annual fees are due by September 1.
For certified members, the annual fee is $440; for qualified members, the annual fee is $205.
Annual fees not paid by October 1, will incur a $100 late fee. If you have not paid your annual fee by November 1, ABFAS may revoke your board status.
You may pay your annual fee online, by mail, or by fax.
How to Pay Your Annual Fee Online
- Sign-in with your ABFAS user name and password using the "Login" button at the top of the webpage. If you need password assistance, you will find it on the "Login" page.
- Under Account Overview, click the “Renew/Pay Annual Fee” link on the left-hand column of the page. Once on the invoice page, click on the small white box, and then the blue “Enter Payment” button to make your payment.
- If you are logging in by smartphone or tablet, you will find “Renew/Pay Annual Fee” under the Account Overview heading.
