Candidates who Completed Residency Prior to 2021
If you completed or will complete your residency in 2020 or before and become qualified in Spring 2020 or before, your certification process involves becoming board qualified then two additional steps.
You are board qualified. Before becoming certified, you must be board qualified.
Once you are board qualified, you’ll go through a two-part process to become board certified: Case Review and Part II CBPS.
Case Review
The Case Review Process has four components:
- Podiatry Logging Service for Surgery (PLS) – case logging
- Complete and log the case number and diversity requirements
- Facility documentation
- Case Documentation and Case Review (Registration for Case Review opens in November)
Part II CBPS Exam
- Contains 12 Foot Surgery cases; 16 RRA Surgery cases
- Candidates have 15 minutes per case
- Offered once a year, in the Spring.
- These are the Foot and RRA CBPS subject areas
