Biography
Dr. Diana Rogers earned her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Florida International University. Her passion for sports and experience as a collegiate athlete led her to begin her career as an athletic trainer. Advancing her medical expertise, she earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University, followed by a three-year surgical residency at Westside Regional Medical Center in Plantation, Florida.
Dedicated to mentoring the next generation of surgeons, Dr. Rogers has been actively involved in education for over 14 years. She served as adjunct faculty at Barry University for nine years and participated as an exam writer for NBPME. She has played key roles in residency and fellowship training as Research Director at Westside Regional Medical Center and Site Coordinator at the VA in Gainesville.
Currently, she serves as a preceptor for the University of Florida Family Medicine Residency Program and as faculty for AO. Dr. Rogers also volunteers as a Residency Program Evaluator with CPME.
Board Certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, Dr. Rogers is actively engaged in the certification process, serving alongside her fellow directors. She is a mentor for the Item Writing Group, a member of the Didactic Review Group and a Case Reviewer. A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, she is engaged in shaping healthcare policy as Vice Chair of its Health Policy Committee.
She continues to support the profession through advocacy and leadership as Treasurer and Delegate for the Florida Podiatric Medical Association.
Personal Statement
I am honored to be considered for the Board of Directors of our esteemed surgical certification body. My dedication to leadership is driven by a strong commitment to advocating for my peers, enhancing communication, and advancing our profession. As foot and ankle surgery continues to evolve, so must the board certification process, and I am committed to playing an active role in its ongoing progress.
For the past eight years, I have proudly served ABFAS as a member of the Didactic Review Group, a mentor for new item writers, and a Case Reviewer. These experiences have given me firsthand insight into the Board’s dedication to excellence and maintaining the highest standards. My goal is to further the Board’s mission by improving exam content, fostering greater transparency, and strengthening communication between the Board, candidates, and Diplomates throughout the certification process.
Serving alongside my fellow directors for the past three years has been an honor, and I remain committed to collaboration, openness, and ensuring a clear and accessible certification journey for all. We are stronger when we work together, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving and supporting you.
