Personal Statement

It has been my privilege to serve as a board member for the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery for the past three years. I am proud of the work we have done in this tumultuous time and will continue to protect the value of certification for ABFAS Diplomates.

I have served on multiple ABFAS committees. Each committee appointment has shown me a new facet of the organization and provided insight into the complexity of developing a fair and representative certification process. I strive to make the process more approachable for those seeking board qualification and certification status.

My background as a small business owner in private practice and as president of an ambulatory surgery center has expanded diversity to the ABFAS Board of Directors. I am strong in organization, efficiency, and teamwork. I have high expectations for myself and those with whom I collaborate.  Certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery is the highest standard for foot and ankle surgeons and should remain so. I would be honored to continue to serve as a board member for ABFAS.
